SAYONARA SHALLOW WASTES OF SPACE, SAY HELLO TO STARS WITH REAL TALENT

I loved this story that I read on The Daily Mail, a UK online news source, and I have to give the author props. I mean this article should be given an award for best celebrity article or something.
Anyway, back to why I’m writing this post. In a nutshell, the author talks about how the world is suffering in a deep recession and that people are now wanting to look for different role models – instead of the bimbos and talentless ones out there. The ladies listed above in the “bin” are quite annoying really, especially Katie Price, Peaches Geldof and Paris Hilton. For those of you who don’t know, Katie Price (aka Jordan) is a slutty British woman who gained fame by taking off her clothes and being well- whorish looking. But hey, the British public made her famous, so that says a lot about what they consider fame worthy. The UK and the USA are different in that respect. In the UK, you’ll find these talentless “reality” stars and so forth on almost every tabloid magazine. These “stars” are relatively unknown in the USA, but considered extremely famous in the UK. Take some psychotic woman named, Kerry Katona. Thank goodness Americans don’t have to see her stupid reality show on MTV, but come on. Why does a girl like that deserve her own show? And they call her a celebrity? The UK sucks in that respect because basically anyone can be famous there. All you have to do is act like a bitch and act like a mental case, get a boob job, sleep around and go to upscale parties looking like a whore. And they actually have autobiographies out! Only the UK’s finest will touch those books.

I have to say though, the UK does have its fair share of talented lovely celebrities, but it seems people in the UK only care about reading about the trashy lot. The UK has actress Emma Watson, who is the new face of Burberry now. A title once owned by drug addict model Kate Moss. I hope that the public will realize that people like Paris Hilton are not worthy of fame and only worthy of being ignored. Her actions are horrific and it’s amazing how people can actually call her their “idol and role model.” Are you kidding me?!?!?! Paris Hilton – a role model? Ha ha! Where is our society going? By the looks of it, it’s going to pieces. Think about it. Little girls as young as 6 years old are wanting to emulate Paris Hilton!?!?!?! Where are the feminists at? They should be trying to put a stop to this madness. I’m watching shows on the Disney Channel and I see that most of the characters on there are bimbo like. It’s like it’s much better to be a brainless bimbo than an intelligent young lady.

Because of the massive economic crisis going on, there are people actually evaluating their lives and realizing that the celebs they once cared to read about aren’t that great anymore. People, especially women, want to see talented and poised women – real role models who do more than get wasted, do drugs and party. Peaches Geldof is another example of a waste of space. She’s only famous because of her rich family. Other than that, what is she known for? Going to parties and craving attention?
The world isn’t getting any better and I just can hope and pray it does. I think young girls need to find other role models in the entertainment industry and stop looking up to whorish looking girls. Girls like Natalie Portman who despite being rich & successful, chose to attend university.
But exactly what is it that makes a hitherto in-demand brand suddenly seem totally wrong for the age we live in? ‘People are feeling a bit bruised by what’s going on, and they want substance rather than style,’ says clinical psychologist Nadine Field.
‘The public are sick of the Jordans of this world accruing a fortune without merit, and celebrities bleating on about their divorce, their boob job, or their regrets about their boob job, while real people are having to deal with genuine adversity without the same financial cushion.’
One thing I love about the United States of America is that we aren’t as bad as the UK in terms of quality celebrities. Something I’ve always said is this: If you can make it in America – you can make it anywhere.
